6" Front Hub

Looking for a 6" SLS Front hub, either on its own or laced to a 19 of 21" rim. Don't particularly need the brake plate.

Thanks PJ

Re: Seal 40-0977

I also wonder what the oil pressure release valve was doing when your other machine popped its seal? The bike was a '71 500 T*****h. The PRVs on all of these old Brits are crude and a little slow to react, particularly on bikes with plain bearing big ends and the higher flow pumps that they require...

Seal 40-0977

Greetings all. After a couple of years on other projects I now have a '68 B25 on my bench. History is unknown so I have torn the motor down to check it and no horrid surprises! I am now collecting the parts required for reassembly. A while ago I had a new Crank feed Oil Seal fail on first start, at ...

Re: B25 engine wanted

I've got one that I bought from Midge before Christmas for a B25MX project that I have now abandoned.

It's a late 'wide lug' 250 but is sure to need work before use. I paid £550 with an extra set of Crankcases.

PM me if its of interest.

Cheers!

Pete,

No logbook I am afraid but the frame looks good, almost certainly in its original paint and with all of the brackets intact.

Re: Nearly a complete bike...

You are correct about shipping, I just checked and it could be done for under £200. The snag is that Engines are on the list of excluded items. I could tear the engine down and just send the parts that you need, Crank, Rod, Trans, Primary ,whatever and send them as 'machine parts' but couldn't reall...

Sorry but the cost of Shipping it back would be maybe $500 U.S. I am sure that there must be a cheaper way for you to get hold of a 250 motor?

Over the last few years I have been collecting the parts together to build a B25mx, but with four other unit singles and a collection of other stuff on the go I am not sure that it will ever happen. So this post is to gauge interest initially, if there is demand for most of it I'll let it go, if not...

Haha! The engine I offered £500 finally sold at £480, but clearly the vendor was bidding it up himself as within two hours of it ending he tells me the buyer can't complete and I can have it for £470. Greedy fool should have recognised a good offer when he got one.

B25SS - late type Conrod strength

We all know about the problems with early B25 rods, but what about the later ones fitted to the OIF engines? In the past I have always fitted a new rod from Thunder Engineering when overhauling these motors, thinking that (a) this was a stronger item than the original and (b) it is always wise to re...

Re: +60 rebore jp piston b44

I bored my B44 motor to +.060 and fitted a Gandini piston. All was good for 1000 miles or so, then started burning oil and loosing compression. When I took a look the liner had distorted down one side due to it not being thick enough to take the overbore. I'm not saying that they are all like it but...
