Thanks for the replies Mighty and Beat, I understand the gearbox needs venting but its vented on the pressure side of the breather circuit so this will give the gearbox a positive pressure? (or so I thought) and that's when I had oil coming out of the dipstick not a lot but enough to be annoying Yes...

Just spotted this little hole in the inner timing cover, I did have bother with the dipstick filler venting oil before i blocked it maybe it would be better to block this little hole, any thoughts from the colective b25 vent.jpg Also the oil in the gearbox seems very black more like engine oil? look...

Hi Lathejack just back from the BSA international, the paint on the tank is a candy apple red from the paint shop, I don't think there is a code as its a dye you first apply a base coat of metallic silver or gold depends how deep you want the red then use the candy red dye in the top coat lacquer ,t...

Well no one else piped up so,
The paint I used on my 71 B25T was a 2k and the code was RAL 7044 SEIDENGREU ( Silk grey?)
Hope this helps... looks so much better than a black frame .

Well the gearbox oil problem was sorted and now I have a few hundred miles on the clock, the only other problems I had was the twostroke needle and jet fitted in carb <202 also the ignition cam loose on backplate ! Ok the pattern stuff is rubbish Can we not use something from the electronics world ? Just to add some info I have just replaced the rear bearings in the QD hub on my 1967 A65 chrome brake plate all bearings (7/8"x2"x9/16") RLS7 bearings

Well a bit of a update with minimal use of BFH and not many flat plates well only two, but you will be impressed with a bit of pressing P1000949.JPG gave it a quick polish but need to remove some SFH marks P1000953.JPG P1000952.JPG Will post photo of lower ring former later bit of a lump time for <213

Ahh the tools you mean the hammer! P1000939.JPG all the work is in the former and holding plates P1000940.JPG P1000943.JPG Needs a little fettling I added the 1.2mm x2 for the thickness around but it worked out 1-2mm more again OD 86.78 working out at 88+ so bit more grinding,then make the other for...
