hi mark Hannelore is NOT enjoyed by the Idea of getting back on the race bike! myself, I say as it depends on the gymnastic and fitness I can do without feeling pain. if this comes close to that it was before, - yes, I guess I will race again . yes, - one problem by building a fraim is always the shape of the seats of the bearings in the headstock. by welding the fraimtubes to the stock, the seats getting oval and deformed. to avoid this, I do this " inside out " system. by having the bearings in the yokes, I can finally welding the yokes ...

you have to consider as this post comes from Ian Hingley.
- means, - it is maybe right as he's gearbox sprocket counts only 10 t, because two ore more are brocken off already....

yes Oli, there is. as you see, the steering is something " upside down " ore " inside out ". means - I have located the bearings NOT in the Head, no, they are in the yokes. the reasons are: more lightweight AND easier to produce. and as a result, the head can be square for easier production and less...

a little tight but it doesn't fall down like the 5.5 mm one ! if it is all the way in, - I would run it with this 5.8 mm one. by occasion, when dismantling the clutch, just check the pushrod of unusual wear at the end. I don't know the Electrex Ignition. --- how much dos it advance ?

I do use a original advancing unit, modified to do a 34 ° shifting. ( points triggered transistor Ignition. )

set the timing to 32 ° it is running best and NO kickback at all :!:

some measuring Datas at the points from a to f : Bildschirmfoto 2020-10-31 um 21.04.40.png so it makes a Spark from a supply Voltage of at least 4 Volts just up to 17 Volts. good enough for a total loss ignition system of 12 v IMO. and yes, it is the same layout as descript in the Topic " it Sparks ...

Francoise, - at this drawing where the rocker is to see in the green box, there are two shims on the left side. ( 2 x 1/2 steel )

I think this is wrong ( IMO = in my opinion )
there should be only one shim.

ore do I miss something ??

shure is : BSA's are made very inexactly by a lot of sections.

and it needs a lot of modifications to get them running properly and safely.
