Hi folks, I have had a batch of lightweight B40 cylinders made. These were special ordered by me and made by NEB. They have Nikasil linings, no iron sleeve. They are standard length cylinders. These are top quality goods. The description and pictures are below. To go with these cylinders I also have...

The hole in the shell bearing is not necessary. The Triumph T100 rod did not use the oiling hole and it is the same rod, other than not having the hole drilled in the rod. Enough oil gets slopped out from all around the shell bearing to do the job of lubrication without the little hole.

It is not hard to get a very good physical condition B44 alloy tank on eBay in the US for $300 or less. Weight would be around 7 lbs with packing, so around $60 in shipping. If I were selling it I'd declare a value of $150 (on a $300 tank). As best I can see the end price with all fees won't be even...

Since you have lots of donor parts from B25s etc to draw on you are in a better position not to drain the piggy bank fixing it up than others. Otherwise it is close to being a parts bike ra...

If the question is where to put the filter, install it in the same place the Boffins did on the 1971 250's. In fact, use the stock 250 oil filter assembly and the left side rear 250 motor mount that is extended back to fit the filter assembly. This is a bolt-on project. Since the oil pump is puttin...
