Are you using the correct voltage coil ?
The A65 uses 2 x 6V coils on a12v system.

Re: B50 with Wassel ignition misfiring
Ben i have been sorting the charging system on my A65 fitted with Wassel ignition and could not get a steady reading on my meter. It kept going to 18v then zero at the Battery and i very nearly bought a new reg/rectifier. I discovered the Wassel cdi box interferes with the meter up to approx 8" away...

Have you used NJB shocks before? I used them years ago for road racing and was impressed with the set up service. They never gave any trouble, were the right price and still fitted to the bike when i sold it years later. At the time they were basically just copies of girlings, not sure what the off...

i know its getting off topic but i have to agree.
My Dad had an heart attack earlier this year and he has now just lost his twin brother, suddenly time seems short and precious.
We have even been looking at the cost of insurance to get him over to Bonneville while he still can.

Brent i believe the frame filter is now unobtainable but apparently one from a trident can be adapted to fit. I would check / clean out the sludge trap before running if possible. called in on an old mate of mine yesterday who was cleaning an oil in frame out. He has drilled some holes in the drum of his cement mixer, strapped his paraffin filled frame to the front and turned it on.
I would still run a filter though.

Was it from anywhere near Doncaster as if its the same one it needed a head gasket 8 years ago.
If its locked up once sorry but it needs to be stripped

I have just fitted a Wassel system to my A65 and as Whan says it shuts down to no load within a couple of seconds. I believe that road tax has already changed to the 40 year rule. So no road tax and no MOT up to 1977. I have just sent off my new A65 log book application with an MOT exemption form so fingers crossed. On another note i bought the A65 without NOVA paperwork but after a few emails to HMRC and £112 (...

If it has been pressed well away from TDC then you might be trying to reset it on the exhaust stoke.
