Pull the axle right out, that should let the wheel drop and brake plate swing round on the bolt holding it to the swingarm. The hub should now move over to remove brake plate.

And that's the best advice ,just fettle her up and get on.A small breakdown on old gear is just a blip ,aggravation, nothing more. You,ll sort it and forget about it.

Re: Alloy tank dents

I had the same problem ,with a CZ moto=crosser many moons ago. It irritated the wick out of me,the dent was on one side only, and the tank was steel, hard to de-dent without cutting out the rear, most CZ riders had the same problem. I got the broom shank and a hammer and dented the other side to match,...

Paul sells a few CCM trials bikes and the cases look like the ones used for the trials bike ,also the numbers seem to verify this.I think,[think] they used b25 cases for the trials bike. I would be happy enough to use as is without welding,as has been said, there,s very little side thrust.Wonder how ...

Fair comments. I was referring to the new machined parts which PES make, there is no doubting the quality and it,s hard to compare with other stuff that's available, and sometimes not available. As for ready available stuff like the gaskets ,cables, grips etc,i have no experience of the costs. But like y...

If and when you need to make the best mod to your bike, fit a decent clutch,PES or NEB,the difference to the bike is night and day,in my view, the best mod to make to any B50.It transforms the bike.

PES prices may seem a little high, initially, but the quality is beyond question,up to the job with good material, and you,ll only need to buy once. I had similar problems with my race CCM,s and the parts from Mark sorted them out,job sorted and peace of mind.Give it carefull consideration.

Re: BSA B25 racing bike

very interesting about the pipe shapes. Stan,s drawing is very simulat to what Eric Cheney used on most of his bikes, little in the way of style, but tops for performance, which just shows how clever Mr Cheney was.And maybe why the first 4 valve ccm,s were so horrible with that original pipe they used.

The biggest problem with mag yokes is the over tightening that people do. But how to know when you,ve over done them, when they break of course! Take the bolt up to just nip tight, then just a little touch, not much ,to secure, they get a fair hold of the stanchions as is. Many CCM forks are broken at t...
