Rickard, is this the service you mentioned a while back? I went hunting the your web site here and didn't find it at any rate.
http://www.skype.com/
A buddy in OHIO talked me into down loading it for free and it works well between Ohio & Wisconsin anyway. I'm not sure it's an advantage for me tho. True, I can neither type nor spell worth a darn but I'm getting hard of hearing as well. A guy on the www.flattrack.com forum says he keeps in touch with his former rider from his place in California to Spain and it works well for them. Long distance calling for free on the computer does seem like a good deal. ( HPbyStan )

I'm looking into this, it would be like having you all round for tea.

Keep your hands out of the cookie jar though

I enjoyed talking with John and as he said, "It was clear as a bell". One thing bothers me in all this though. If it's free for you and free for me,,,, Who IS paying ? I didn't get this old without seeing that SOMEBODY has to pay for everything. Maybe I'm just getting cynical in my old age.

Hi Stan

It really is free!!(well not quite as you do need a phone line and a ISP).

The reason as I understand it is to do with all the massive expansion of international telecoms during the dotcom boom, so there is now this huge global telecoms infrastruture that was built for mass low cost use.

John

I'm on it now, not used it yet, and you dont need an ISP, all you need is a wireless card/enabled puta and to be parked next to someone's house who has a fast insecure connection. And there are loads of them...(my house for one, and my friend's place where I am now)....

Just had Rickard round for a telephonic beer!!!! Clear as a bell, slight delay, but that was probably down to the beer
