3 Things

Post by DaveJ » Sun Oct 25, 2015 3:31 pm

ULTRASONIC CLEANER....After years trying to clean small parts with aerosols and brushes, I have discovered a better way to get the job done. My ultrasonic unit holds 2.5l of liquid and has a heater option. I have experimented with all kinds of chemicals ( BE CAREFUL  ). Distilled water works best for delicate stuff like your wife's jewelry or your Matchbox cars while Pine Sol (a household cleaner) does a great job on the nasty bits.Do not let the item soak overnight. I'm sure that a lot of members already use one, just wanted to share this with the rest.

ACCELERATOR PUMP...I've been working on a collection of Guzzi Ambassadors that use the square slide DelOrdo carbs with a very simple built in accelerator pump. Has anyone tried these on their B50s? It seems that a lot of members are using anything BUT their Amals.

KUDOS...Strange old machines tend to find their way into my shop. With this I rely on the websites available for help. This site is by far the best PERIOD. Thank you all for your skills and patience.(beat scares me)

Just thinking and drinking,GOODNIGHT ;-)

Swiss may be famous for fine clockwork but if you are a kid in the USA, don't take your project to school for science class show and tell, you could end up in jail. Kid in Texas and his family are moving to Qatar where he has been offered a scholarship after building a clock that the nut case Texans thought must be a bomb. Good Grief !
