Motorcylce TV adverts.

Post by lathejack » Sat Mar 26, 2016 9:41 pm

Here in the UK TV adverts for motorcylces are just about none existent.

In all my time I can only recall Hondas " You meet the nicest people on a H*nda" promotion and a very hazy recollection of a 1977 TV commercial for Triumphs T140 Silver Jubilee model.

Are TV adverts for motorcylces as uncommon in the rest of the world? And were BSA in particular ever featured in any TV commercials in the UK or other countries?

Ar, but motorcycles do feature in adverts for other stuff...

As late there has been a few TV ads round Canberra with change of ownership of retailers and moving of agencies around. Last ones I saw were the new Indians and Canadian 3 wheelers being promoted. We also often see Agricultural bikes advertised on TV in the area. Looks like the bigger Oz cities are devoid.

I think most companies nowadays put $s into their web presence.

BMW, Victory, and of course Hardly Abelson have national ads going at the moment here that I've seen lately.
