hi webby
yes, I do like this clamps and I use them when ever it is suitable.
much saver than a bracket and no welding needed on the frame.
several types aveable in sst and they are really strong!

next plate, the feet protection at the right get fixt with the same type of clamps.

now, as I wait for a other type of steering dampers, I do some final jobs like oil pipes, clutch cable, electric wiring, prolonging mudguards , etc.

by end of the month it should run <216

Beat , did you take the whole frame geometry from another sidecar outfit ( old or new ) or did it all by yourself ?

Great work :thumb

I did it by myself.
but sure, some remembrances of what was 50 years ago, some measurements from the Gold Star we are using now and some pictures of what is used in the WSC is making the ingredients to what it is this B25 / B50 / B68 ore what we will ever call it.

BTW, next Sunday is the MX race in Göggingen D ,( near Messkirch , Sigmaringen ) where we will be with the Goldie in the sidecar class.

anyone interested ?

hi FGF

in Rudersberg is NO sidecar MX Grand Prix this year due of corona regulation.

in stead a sidecar practice day is held, but we will miss it because of some family events

well, - maybe next year with the 680er , - we will see

Fantastic that you've been given the ok to play again Beat. Just remember that although humans can fly, the landings are often not nice. ;-)

Hmmmmmm,
was not happy with the black master cylinder for the rear brake. ( horizontal fit, could not get the air out on it )
so I mod the footpeg for a Brembo vertical one.

DSCN2734.jpeg
and yes, now it is possible to make the brake working !

the only thing missing was the running engine
by kicking it over, we heart a strange noice, coming from the barrel / head section - could not find out quickly what it is.
it also had a to low compression for a brand new made engine with 680 ccm.
my guess was that the valves are bend from the to short camshaft in wrong position, lifting both tapets at the same time.
so I opened the engine uper section and find :
the nuts on the barrel studs are compleately loose, just mild hand tighten

so the technician building up this engine seams to be a moron ore really getting older by now

right Oli, I checked the valves, - both are still straight and are showing just little marks:
the outlet valve
the outlet valve
the inlet valve
the inlet valve
lucky , I was carefully trying to kicking it over so I could feel as something was wrong...
