Engine stand
I'm sure I saw a sketch for and engine stand for the b50 engine on this website somewhere but I have searched and not come up with anything. Is there such a sketch on here somewhere?

The search box at the top right of your screen produces a host of topics ...."Engine Stand" and a quick scan reveals this topic.

Re: Engine stand
.
Hi
I found the type that locates on the front and bottom engine mount very adaptable, plus the one below has the benefit of being able to rotate.
. .
If you need any dimensions let me know.
.
I believe some people have used part of a damaged frame to form the main tube and then welded on the the base parts to get it to rotate.

Serious?
That might be good for a display.
A proper engine stand needs to be able to rotate like a spit not a merry go round.
Easier to use the traditional wooden rectangles for building than a stand.

Hi Momu
I've found the stand very useful; rebuilt several unit single motors over the years using it.

could be useful although I can't think of an assembly sequence that would be better in a rotated position?like a spit

Re: Engine stand
Unless I'm working on car engines I forsake stands altogether. Most professional bike mechanics I know use the trusty old wooden rectangles.
Loading the crank into the case is one operation where you get good results with the cases horizontal; fitting gear boxes is another.
If you love it, lube it.

Re: Engine stand
I have this one for all my engines

one arm can be adjusted to fit different engines and the whole thing can be fixed at different angles. An oil pan is also included
