B25 Re-sleeve

Post by Cocker Cox » Sat Sep 05, 2020 8:01 am

Hi, All,

I’m not at this stage yet, but want to consider all options. How much would it cost to re-sleeve a B25 barrel? Many thanks in advance for any opinions....

It has been a few years since I had a B40 re-sleeved. You have the cost of the sleeve, the labor and then it still has to be bored or honed to fit the new piston. Cheaper to find a good used one. I think at the time that I had $150.00 + into it.

Will do, although they recently turned down a job from me due to a heavy current work-load, so I may have to look elsewhere. Can you remember what you paid?

No, probably included in other work, but I did get my piston and rings from EdV, I can't recommend that enough. Modern rings pack has the benefit of 50 years advance in technology and seals a treat, the piston is pornographic.
