Hey B50' nuts,
I ran the ridge run on saturday.
Did a helemt cam video. It's in two pieces. The BSA went the distance in one piece.
The guy on the GS said I was going 90mph, (at one point) but I didn't believe him.
The helmet cam focuses on the "Darling Ridge Road". A paved, (but bumpy),
little one laner through the woods. He, He

And there's a cool spot where using two cameras, I melded the comings and goings of the "Elicott's Crossing". That's in part 2
The 1100 was always just behind me in my mirror. I didn't let my competativemess take us too fast, but it was a spirited ride. You'd be riding along and notice too late where fellow riders have spray painted warnings directly on the pavement. There were paved bumps tall enough to bottom the suspension. There were some cattle crossings that, with the weeds growing up through, looked like a trench and certain doom you can't stop time for!
Filled up the little tank at home, at garden valley, and again in foresthill. About a 200 mile round trip.

You know what makes me mad? I sold this Yammy, completely disassembled to a bare frame for 300 bucks. Gave JW a motor that runs, wheels and such. And now that he has put the pieces together, it's worth a good 1,200 to 1,700 bucks.
So he's running it. JW said that was the funnest ride he'd ever been on! I can't film, or show you all the ridge roads we took! But how 'bout that darling ridge road?
A beauty of a single lane paved pathway though the woods in the 3,200 foot elevation of the sierra nevada mountains.

Yes Beat my concern is that the "music" (if you can call it that), is a "bad thing" in regards to people's enjoyment.
I'd create them without the annoying sounds and let the full B50 exhaust note and clacking shine through if it was what veiwers want.
Is there a poll needed?

Regarding hippies...
we passed through the regular hang outs where the swimmers and sun bathers frequent.
Cattle crossings, yet no cattle...? what's up with that?
On most of these high country rides it's the deer that we scare off of the road and out of the way.

The last B50 picture available from that day. Note the back pack I wear on these journeys in order to carry water, camera accesories and lunch.

Beat, I typicaly go on these rides without any tools. Sometimes I carry a screwdriver and cresent wrench. No spares.
I have a fanny pack that I set up for B50 SS riding after I had a fastener failure during the 09 BSA club ride. During a stop on that ride I found my ignition's ring that holds the unit on the electrical box had come loose. When I asked if any one on the ride had some tools, the reply by them was "who rides a BSA and doesn't bring along any tools?"

The fanny pack is too heavy to wear! and you can never be totaly prepared. So I cross my fingers instead.

As you know, you ride a little then fix it up a bit, ride a little more, fix some more...

Ah, but on the TR5MX, there's a simular fanny pack that's stuffed in this french handbag fitting nicely behind the shorter MX seat! Still, no spares, just a spark plug.

Naked means no clothes. Knackered means exhausted.

Your 'nacked' seems a mixture of the two. Maybe being exhausted with no clothes? Now there's a thought ...

Ian, I think beat is getting better or I'm just getting better at figuring it out. I wish I "knew" a second language but as deaf as I'm getting it will probably be sign language.
