B50 engine steady rubber

Post by Roger » Mon Dec 15, 2014 5:47 pm

This is the piece that goes on the sides mounted to a frame lug. One of mine is AWOL. No idea how that happened!

Roger, <017 if you click on the Spareparts button at the top of the page, you might be able to find the part number....are you after one of these things to replace those who are lost or do you want to sell one?

Hi MM. Sorry for the delay replying. Yes, I need to replace one that was lost. Trying to source rubber parts seems to be the hardest part of the whole restoration thing! :uhu

i think you lots Barry. :thumb

Roger,
are we talking about the anti-roll rubbers? these are the round things either side of the frame up near the front were the oil goes in.
or maybe the rubber saddles that go on the top frame tube, that the petrol tank sits on?
bit confused here.
click on the spare parts button up the top of the page and take a look at the pictures for us please.

Thanks Steve. Yes, it is the round part that plugs into the frame in a welded bracket just behind the steering head. In the parts book, this is listed as an "Rubber - petrol tank anti-roll", page 53 (Replacement Parts List 1971, 500cm3 models), item #61, 82-9222. But I found it at BSA Unit Singles, so problem solved! :ban
