Post by *beezergeezer* » Tue Sep 19, 2017 10:48 pm

hi everyone can any help me I need a 60mm diameter speedometer in MPH part number 19-8954 smiths
for a 1971 BSA Goldstar ss 250 have searched the net but cant find one ....bike is all standard UK model so I dont want to add a wing chong wong cheapo special universal 60mm as seen on ebay etc....
Has anyone got one? mine reads the speed + or - 20mph depending on what day of the week it is and the needle stops flicking I can deal with that as I have no need to know how fast I am going other than I am going fast enough  ...this week end the miles stopped clocking up which is a bit of p**s off :!: as i have all the recorded mileage to date..
Can anyone help?

If you can get copies from Emgo / Wassell (which I presume you mean by the Wing Chong reference?), if they're similar in quality to the normal size speedos, they're actually very good. I don't give praise to Wassell / Emgo stuff lightly and I avoid anything from them that goes in the engine like the plague, but in a few instances, their stuff is good.
