Hi Steve. I wasn't there Sat nite but the field usually is made of of HD (Aermacchi) Sprints and a Ducati or two. Seldom any 2 smokes that I can remember.
I got two Megacycle 541X3 camshafts last week. One of them is so far out of spec it is just a throw away item and the other has more duration than its supposed to but less than the X4 and with one of my crank timing gears with the extra keyways ( half a tooth and quarter tooth off ) it is only 4 degrees retarded. Matt is going to try to broach another one 4 degrees off of the key way that is close. Then I only have to sand / polish about .003" from the journals and we have lift off. I would suspect the 12,000 RPM days will be behind us with this cam but it should work lots better in the lower rpm bands.
"MEGACYCLE CAMS, where quality control remains an interesting concept but we don't waste production time on it".

If they are ground from a master Stan they should all be the same. As for the key location I can understand it wondering. You've had my vernier pinion gears before haven't you Stan?

Mark, I should have had some of yours but I used to just walk into the local GM factory and have someone broach a bunch of them for me. Since GM closed the local plant I lost most of my machine shop.

Mark,
just wondering, does your pinion give a similar variation to Stans. ie; 1/2tooth and 1/4tooth?
