40-5145 Dust Cover for B44VS

Post by davidak44VS » Tue Dec 15, 2015 10:35 pm

Hi All -

My first post here - I bought a 1970 B44VS a couple of months ago and have stripped it down and just getting to the point where I am rebuilding the frame and forks. I've discovered that I am missing the top cone dust cover - part 40-5145 - it has a diameter of 2 1/4"

I ordered one from Drags but they told me it was "superseded" by a 66-5204 which has a diameter of 2 5/8" and was no use at all...

Anyone know where I can get the correct diameter part from ?

Thanks
Dave

I think I finally managed to locate one that is the right size - from Austria ! With a bit of luck I'll have the forks assembled before the New Year
